Nuclear Med Technologist (Day Shift) - Location: College Station TX 77845

Job Summary:
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures under the direction of a radiologist or physician. This position is responsible for preparing calibrating and administering radiopharmaceuticals operating imaging equipment ensuring patient safety and maintaining accurate records and regulatory compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients as prescribed.
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using gamma cameras PET scanners and related equipment.
- Verify patient identification and ensure adherence to all radiation safety protocols.
- Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure accurate documentation in the PACS/RIS systems.
- Maintain accurate records of radiopharmaceutical use quality control and radiation exposure.
- Assist in scheduling patient instruction and procedure preparation.
- Perform equipment quality control calibration and minor troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with all state federal and institutional regulations governing nuclear medicine.
- Provide compassionate and professional patient care throughout all procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians radiologists and other technologists to ensure optimal imaging outcomes.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field from an accredited program.
Experience:
- Prior experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
Certification/License/Registration:
- ARRT-N (Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine) OR
- CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist by NMTCB).
- BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) required.
