Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00am- 4:30pm
Job Type: Permanent
Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Job Summary:

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures under the direction of a radiologist or physician. This position is responsible for preparing calibrating and administering radiopharmaceuticals operating imaging equipment ensuring patient safety and maintaining accurate records and regulatory compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients as prescribed.
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using gamma cameras PET scanners and related equipment.
Verify patient identification and ensure adherence to all radiation safety protocols.
Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure accurate documentation in the PACS/RIS systems.
Maintain accurate records of radiopharmaceutical use quality control and radiation exposure.
Assist in scheduling patient instruction and procedure preparation.
Perform equipment quality control calibration and minor troubleshooting.
Ensure compliance with all state federal and institutional regulations governing nuclear medicine.
Provide compassionate and professional patient care throughout all procedures.
Collaborate with physicians radiologists and other technologists to ensure optimal imaging outcomes.

Qualifications:

Education:

Associates or Bachelors degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field from an accredited program.

Experience:

Prior experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

Certification/License/Registration:

ARRT-N (Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine) OR
CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist by NMTCB).
BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) required.
