Job Title: Material Coordinator
Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Location: Davenport IA 52809
Duration: 1 Year (Possible Extension)
Shift: 1st Shift 7:00 AM 3:30 PM Monday Friday
Position Overview
The Material Coordinator II supports Operations and Supply Management by ensuring production materials are available accurate and delivered on time. This role involves managing material flow monitoring inventory resolving shortages and maintaining SAP MRP data to keep production running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor the flow of materials across multiple departments including shipping and receiving.
- Ensure production personnel have the required parts and materials for scheduled builds.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and identify issues impacting material availability.
- Manage and track rejected material movements and recommend corrective actions.
- Utilize SAP/MRP systems to create and distribute production schedules.
- Audit material replenishment cycles and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Work on critical shortage reports to expedite parts and maintain uninterrupted production.
- Implement and track changes from the engineering release and change management process.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP or equivalent MRP systems experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work proactively with cross-functional teams.
- Self-starter with a positive can-do attitude and critical thinking skills.
- Previous or current military experience preferred.
Education & Experience
- Education: Associates degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Operations or related field.
- Experience: 1 3 years in material coordination supply management or production control preferred.
