Job Summary

An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified Electrical Serviceman to join a leading mining operation in Rustenburg. This position is ideal for a skilled and safety-conscious individual who thrives in a hands-on technical environment.

Requirements:

Recognized Trade Certificate in Electrical.
Completed Logbook/Training Modules (proof required).
Valid Exit Medical Certificate from a recognized medical facility.
Proven electrical experience in a mining or industrial environment.
Strong fault-finding maintenance and technical skills.
Thorough understanding of electrical safety regulations and procedures.
Physically fit and able to work underground if required.
Reliable self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

Perform installation maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment in accordance with mining standards.
Inspect test and troubleshoot electrical faults on machinery panels and underground systems.
Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure continuous and safe operation of all electrical equipment.
Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics to execute repair and installation work accurately.
Replace or repair wiring cables lighting motors and electrical components as required.
Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) and site-specific safety procedures.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and report any electrical hazards or breakdowns.
Work collaboratively with supervisors and other trades to ensure operational efficiency.
