The Moodys Ratings Technology Team is seeking an AVP Manager of Software Engineering with deep expertise in building robust scalable and high-performance web applications or Java using Angular technologies. This role involves designing and delivering innovative solutions while also maintaining and enhancing existing systems to support the organizations evolving needs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in software development.
- Expert proficiency or Java using Angular technologies.
- Recent experience in managing and leading software engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of architectural styles and APIs including REST and RPC.
- Proven track record of implementing web applications using Java or C# SpringBoot or Core as well as HTML5 JavaScript TypeScript JSON REST CSS and SQL.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure.
- Knowledge of both relational and NoSQL databases along with design and architectural patterns like Model-View-Controller (MVC).
- Preferred: Familiarity with ratings and structured finance concepts.
Education:
BS/MS degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related subject.
Responsibilities:
- Design develop and maintain high-quality software applications utilizing Angular and either SpringBoot or Core frameworks.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to define requirements design solutions and implement new features. - Engage in all stages of the software development lifecycle from initial concept through deployment and ongoing support.
- Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards architectural guidelines and functional specifications.
- Troubleshoot optimize and enhance existing systems to improve performance and reliability as needed.
- Document each phase of development and continuously monitor systems to verify alignment with user requirements and business objectives.
- Remain current with emerging technologies and industry trends to proactively recommend improvements and maintain technical excellence.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is$140200.00-$203350.00 depending on factors such as experience education level skills and location. This range is based on a full-time addition to base salary this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
