Your Mission

As an Expert AI Technical Designer youll collaborate closely with the AI Director and cross-disciplinary teams to bridge the gap between Engineering and Design. Youll play a key role in defining building and refining the next generation of AI systems for theCall of Dutyfranchise pushing the boundaries of whats possible in large-scale high-fidelity combat experiences. Partner with AI Engineering and Design teams to design prototype and implement advanced AI systems and behaviors.

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours so this role includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities:

• Drive innovation in AI architecture workflows and tools to enhance designer efficiency and creative freedom.
• Evaluate iterate and tune AI systems to achieve responsive believable and challenging enemy and ally behaviors.
• Act as a bridge between creative vision and technical execution ensuring high-quality implementation across all stages of development.
• Mentor and support other designers in AI tools pipelines and best practices.

Player Profile

• 10 years of experience in the game industry with at least two shipped AAA titles.
• Deep passion for First Person Shooter gameplay and an understanding of what makes great AI in this genre.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and deconstruct AI design in modern games.
• Professional experience with game editor tools such as Radiant Unreal Engine Unity or CryEngine.
• Strong knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python Lua) and a solid grasp of C fundamentals.
• Prior hands-on experience with AI systems such as Finite State Machines (FSMs) and Behavior Trees.
• Strong understanding of linear algebra and 3D math as they apply to AI and gameplay systems.
• Proactive self-driven problem-solver with a passion for improving processes and tools.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.

These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately your specific range and offer will be based on several factors including relevant experience performance and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this roles range details for your local geography during the hiring addition to a competitive base pay employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation.
