As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Cross Risk Calculations Technology you will design build and deliver secure scalable technology products that support the firms business objectives. Job responsibilities
- Design develop implement and maintain solutions to increase productivity across the finance organization
- Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to technical challenges
- Research new technologies and libraries to benefit the team
- Advance projects with minimal oversight and high self-motivation
- Collaborate with business and technical colleagues to build efficient solutions
- Translate business needs into technical requirements
- Create executive-level readouts and status updates for clients and senior management
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience
- Expert in Python or other programming languages for building large-scale distributed systems
- Experience in data analytics using Pandas and Numpy
- Proficient in writing effective scalable object-oriented code
- Experience building API services from scratch and structuring projects
- Strong understanding of data modeling and querying relational databases
- Excellent analytical quantitative and problem-solving skills
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Knowledge of front-end languages such as JavaScript
- Experience with open source orchestration frameworks like Airflow or Dagster
- Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud architecture along with proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure automation
- Understanding of financial engineering investment banking or derivative trading
