Job Summary

Job Title: X-Ray Technologist
Location: Ithaca NY
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (3x12 per week)
Weekly Hours: 36 Hours
Holiday / RTO Requirements: Limited RTO; ability to assist with holiday coverage is required.

Position Overview

The X-Ray Technologist will perform diagnostic radiologic imaging examinations in a clinical or hospital setting. This role requires strong technical knowledge attention to patient safety and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Perform high-quality radiographic imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and professional standards.
Position patients properly to ensure accurate imaging and minimize radiation exposure.
Operate maintain and troubleshoot radiographic equipment as needed.
Verify and document patient identity exam details and clinical data in electronic records.
Collaborate with physicians nurses and other clinical staff to support patient care workflows.
Follow infection control safety protocols and radiation protection guidelines.
Assist patients physically and emotionally to ensure comfort and cooperation.
Participate in scheduled holiday and weekend coverage as required.

Required Qualifications

Active State License (NY).
ARRT Certification in Radiography (R) required.
Current BLS certification through AHA or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of recent X-ray Tech experience (hospital experience preferred).
Ability to perform independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in acute care or trauma environments.
Electronic medical records proficiency.
