Job Overview
Were hiring an R&D Engineer Intern to join our team at the Marvin Composites plant in Fargo ND. At Marvin Composites we produce custom fiberglass components used in many of the premium windows and doors manufactured by Marvin.
As an R&D Engineer Intern you will support our R&D department while collaborating across various teams. Gain firsthand experience exploring the intricacies of our unique manufacturing processes. Demonstrate your skills to assist in different areas gaining practical experience and making your own contributions. Additionally youll also have an opportunity to delve into independent projects showcasing your initiative strengths and creativity! Ready to embark on an exciting internship
This is a paid internship. It is full-time during the summer and part-time with a flexible schedule during the school year. Were looking for a candidate available to work year-round balancing their academic schedule and professional growth.
Highlights of your role
- Contribute to R&D projects through material testing participation in trial runs supporting new material technology and developments while maintaining a safety-conscious approach
- Gain proficiency in using testing equipment interpreting data and creating protocols for assigned technical areas
- Collaborate with teams across Product Development Tool & Die Manufacturing Engineering Quality and other functional areas to achieve shared goals
- Support the R&D team to generate creative ideas and provide consistent contributions to support long-term objectives
Youre a good fit if you have (or if you can)
- Familiarity with gathering and analyzing data through coursework
- Proven understanding of laboratory protocols
Also want to make sure you have
- Sophomore or Junior status pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering Coating & Polymeric Materials Chemical Engineering Chemistry Civil Engineering Environmental Engineering or related field
