H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
Associates degree Business Administration Criminal Justice Law Enforcement Security or closely related field.
2 Years security supervisory experience required in lieu of Associates degree.
Bachelors Degree Business Administration Criminal Justice Law Enforcement Security or closely related field preferred
2 years security or law enforcement required
2 years healthcare or education preferred
Drivers License Class C and Insurable is required upon hire and
CSO - Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 2 (Not required if have Lvl 3) 14 days of hirerequired and
CSO - Commissioned Security Officer Texas level 3 within 60 days of hire required and
TASER Certification within 60 days of hire required(Two attempts permitted within sixty days) and Annual recertification is required and
ACPI - Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 30 Days Required
Must successfully complete a psychological evaluation.
What You Will Do
Plans examines analyzes evaluates and manages the Texas Health System Security and Police operations inclusive of physical security assets and security personnel.
Examines and monitors security department staffing within assigned area to provide optimal levels.
Provides for the supervision of security personnel.
Initiates personnel actions such as recruitment selections transfers promotions and discipline or dismissal measures.
Serves in a primary or support leader for emergency management within the assigned area of responsibility.
Fills out incident/offense report forms and composes narratives.
Conducts supervises and prepares reports relating to internal investigations of losses or violations of Texas Health physical security policies and procedures or state of Texas laws.
