Patient Service Representative – Orthopedics

Job Summary:

Job Description:

Greets patients answers calls and assists with clerical and administrative needs for the Orthopaedics practice.

Schedules appointments through computerized scheduling systems while maintaining efficiency and attention to detail.

Verifies insurance benefits obtains necessary precertification or authorizations and communicates financial responsibilities to patients.

Collects and records payments such as co-pays and deductibles referring to financial counselors when appropriate.

Ensures all demographic billing and clinical information is accurately entered into the registration system in a timely manner.
