Manager, LogisticsDistribution

What you do

You will provide overall leadership ofour Johnson Controls (JCI)Lithia Springs distribution center supportingthemultiplebusiness units. You will promote a performance-based culture passionate about providing our customers with outstanding experience. You will also partner with 3PL in Operations Inventory Control and Quality to build solutions and processes that yield perfect shipments stable inventory levels and optimalefficiency.

How will you do it

Management

• Provide overall leadership and active role to manage relationship with distributioncenter 3PL (DC) with a team of 4supervisors

• Ensure all distribution work is performed in a safe and efficient manner in adherence to company policies local state federal and international laws.

• Assist in the development and support of business strategies to achieve high service levels and efficient inventoryplacement.

• Directly impact business profitability and customerexperience.

• Operational responsibility for end results planning andfinances/budget.

• Set policies and business strategy for the 3PL DC operation.

Operations

• Develop and manage inbound outbound returns and value-added service processes to ensure the highest levels of on-time service quality andefficiency.

• Work seamlessly across multiple functions within the organization to understand requirements and lead change management todeliverenterprise-wideprograms and help drive expectations for 3PL.

• Provide a comprehensive understanding of customer needs share and drive with 3PL.

• Identify and interpret changes in internal and external customer requirements.

• Assist in developing meaningful metrics regarding warehouse activity andperformance.

Project Management

• Lead the local deployment of Lean Management methodologies including the identification development and implementation of Continuous Process Improvement Kaizens and Six Sigma initiatives involving safety quality productivity and other cross-functional opportunities.

• Safety Sanitation Security

• Lead operations in a manner that promotes safety and is aligned with OSHA and other appropriate standards.

What we look for

Required

• Bachelors Degree in related field.

• Minimum of 5-10 years related experience in management roles.

• Strong background in supply chain management logistics and distribution operations.

• Previous experience with 3PL operations desirable.

• Strong leadership organization and communication.

• Experience leading a multi-shift DCoperation.

• Warehouse Management System experience.

• Familiarity with MHE.

• Ability to meet tight scheduling requirements as well as able to shift priorities easily.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word.
