We are seeking a skilled Technical Release Manager focusing on modern DevOps release practices who combines technical knowledge of modern DevOps practices with traditional release management this role youll be responsible for planning and managing releases. Youll design and improve our release practices processes and architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate releases during and outside normal business hours
- Develop the technical release management practice and strategy aligned with DevOps principles and modern software delivery practices
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to development and operations teams on modern release and DevOps practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders to coordinate releases release processes deployment windows and ensure successful software delivery outcomes
What Youll Bring
- Experience managing an effective and coordinated release function
- Experience in technical release management or DevOps engineering with a focus on automation
- Experience working with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps and GitHub
- Background in cloud platforms such as Azure
- Experience implementing monitoring and observability feature flags and progressive delivery techniques in production environments
- New Zealand citizenship and the ability to obtain confidential security clearance
- Tertiary qualification in technology or equivalent experience
- Proficiency with artificial intelligence tools that help accelerate implementation whilst maintaining focus on standards and best practices
