The School of Biological Sciences (SBS) part of the College of Science was established in 2002 with a mission to advance biological and biomedical sciences. At SBS our research spans various areas including infectious diseases immunology neurodegenerative diseases telomere biology and genome function. Join Professor Dr. Gerhard Grübers laboratory at the School of Biological Sciences and contribute to groundbreaking research focused on the investigation and characterization of proteins from antimicrobial bacteria.
As a Project Officer you will play a pivotal role in the investigation and structure determination of membrane proteins.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting research to elucidate the structure of multi-subunit complexes
Utilizing techniques such as purification and cryo-EM technology to resolve enzyme complexes
Collaborating closely with team members to achieve research objectives and contribute to a stimulating research environment
Job Requirements:
Bachelor of Science with extensive technical expertise in structure determination using cryo-EM
Proven track record of success in laboratory organization and management
Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
