Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Service Technician to join our security business unit.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot maintain service install and test Security Systems to include; Access Controls CCTV and Intrusion Systems.
- Perform service and maintenance on existing systems ensuring optimal performance Read and interpret blueprints schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Pull and terminate cable mount devices and connect panels according to manufacturer specifications.
- Work collaboratively with project managers other technicians and subcontractors to complete installations.
- Troubleshoot issues efficiently and provide clear documentation of work performed.
- Conduct system training and demonstrations for customers upon completion of installation.
- Ensure compliance with all company state and local regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment both on-site and in company vehicles.
- Participate in ongoing technical training and certification programs. Participate in the on-call program.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred
- 2 years of experience in electronic security or low-voltage system installation (preferred)
- State of MA Class D Low Voltage license
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
- Capable of obtaining a Certificate of clearance
- Working knowledge of various systems
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret electrical schematics
- Proficiency with hand tools power tools and test equipment
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or lifts when required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
