Were now looking for an exceptional Category Analyst to join our highly engaged Category Team in Ellerslie Auckland.

About the Role

As our Category Analyst youll be at the heart of our insights engine analysing trends spotting growth opportunities and helping our customers (and their shoppers!) win.

Youll work closely with the Category Strategy Manager and Category Manager supporting key initiatives like range reviews planograms and category vision development.

Your mission

To turn data into actionable insights that fuel growth across our Snacking and Food segments.

What Youll Be Doing

• Analyse segment customer and channel trends to identify future growth opportunities and provide clear impactful recommendations.
• Deliver insightful reporting and analysis to support category leadership and help us move toward reporting automation and predictive analytics.
• Partner with the Category Strategy Manager to uncover shopper and customer trends quantifying growth drivers to inform priorities.
• Support the Category Manager with in-store analysis and test & learn initiatives using tools like Nielsen Quantium and Dunnhumby.
• Conduct range and assortment analysis for customer range reviews and build planograms using key Mars tools like PQA MMH and PICOFS.
• Collaborate across Sales Marketing and Category teams to deliver strategies that drive sustainable growth and stronger partnerships.

What Youll Bring

• A knack for turning complex data into clear compelling stories.
• Strong analytical skills and confidence working with multiple data sources.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with retailer or data management tools.
• A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. Statistics Finance or Marketing).
• Curiosity creativity and a collaborative spirit you love problem-solving and bringing people together around data-driven insights.
