BGC Okanagan is seeking an Adult Youth & Child Worker for our Cultivate Program.
This position is responsible for providing one-on-one support to children and youth facilitating group sessions organizing recreational activities and working collaboratively with a Family Counsellor to deliver program services.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collects and assesses information related to clients needs challenges and risks through interviews behavioral observations meetings with caregivers and service providers and the use of relevant assessment tools.
- Develops and implements short-term issue-specific intervention plans in consultation with the supervisor and in alignment with program guidelines.
- Plans prepares and facilitates individual and group counselling sessions using approaches such as active listening conflict resolution basic group counselling and psycho-educational methods to address identified needs and goals.
- Provides skill development in areas such as parenting strategies anger management and self-regulation techniques.
- Monitors and evaluates clients progress documenting outcomes and consulting with the supervisor to review effectiveness and adjust plans as needed.
- Informs clients and families about available program services and provides referrals to community resources and other professionals when appropriate.
- Maintains accurate records statistics and reports as required by the program and supervisor.
- Liaise with community service providers professionals and school personnel to advocate for and promote the interests of clients. Accompany clients to meetings and appointments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in a related human / social service field.
- One (1) year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.
- Current First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Valid Class 5 drivers licence
- Successful completion of the agencys screening process including a criminal record check
Please Note:
- This position is open to all applicants

Hours: 35 hours per week Monday-Friday 10:00 am-6:00 pm
Rate of Pay: $ 27.54 per hour
