Job Summary
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform IBM i administration including system installs PTF deployment and HMC maintenance.
- Perform system firmware software installation configuration and security requirements.
- Perform daily system monitoring verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware server resources systems and key processes.
- Review system logs application logs and verify the successful completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
- Perform problem isolation definition resolution and follow-up for system application and customer problems.
- Provide monthly reporting regarding system performance and assist with capacity planning requirements.
- Maintain 3rd party software applications and participate in Disaster Recovery testing.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
- The ideal candidate is an Expert (P4) Infrastructure Engineer with a strong background (5 years) in maintaining and administering IBM i (AS/400) environments including hardware firmware and associated software. They should be a dedicated professional who is willing to work in the office in Pleasant Prairie Wisconsin and possess excellent problem-solving skills for critical system support.
