Job Title: Project Finance Lawyer Financial Services Practice

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Project Finance Lawyer to join a leading Financial Services Practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in renewable energy project finance representing lenders or tax equity investors in complex transactions. This role offers exposure to high-profile projects and collaboration with a dynamic team of legal and financial professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Represent lenders or tax equity investors in renewable energy project finance transactions (solar wind and other sustainable energy projects).
Draft review and negotiate complex financing documents including loan agreements security agreements intercreditor agreements and tax equity documents.
Advise clients on regulatory corporate and financial matters related to project finance.
Coordinate with internal teams external counsel and clients to ensure smooth execution of transactions.
Conduct due diligence and provide legal risk assessments for potential projects.
Stay current on project finance law renewable energy regulations and tax considerations.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to practice law in North Carolina.
Minimum 3 years of project finance experience preferably representing lenders or tax equity investors in renewable energy transactions.
Strong understanding of project finance structures including non-recourse and limited-recourse financing.
Excellent negotiation drafting and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple transactions and meet deadlines effectively.
Business-oriented practical legal advice and problem-solving skills.
