Job Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with planning and carrying out traffic control operations
Communicate with your crew to keep everyone safe.
Set up Maintain and remove traffic control devices while monitoring work zones to ensure safe traffic flow and proper placement of lane closures
Inspect work zone to confirm proper placement of signs barricades and other traffic control devices to comply with state regulations
Providing outstanding service and protection to customers
Protect the companys employees customers and assets against losses injuries and accidents through enforcement of safe work practices.
Become a subject matter expert in work zone setup/design and professional flagging.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION
2 years previous experience in an outdoor labor setting i.e. Traffic Control Landscaping Manufacturing Construction Utilities Military or Skilled Operator
1 Years Traffic Control Experience / ATSSA Certificate or related field
TCT/TCS Certification preferred
Minimum of 1 year driving experience or comparable driving experience(TMA Box Truck construction hauling etc.)
Able to Read and Interpret Blueprints preferred
OSHA 10/OSHA 30 a plus
Familiarity with a client-based schedule
Valid state drivers license
Steel Toed or Composite Toed Boots
Comfortable standing 8-12 hours a day
Ability to lift 60 lbs.
Accustomed to working in all types of weather and in traffic.
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening for this Safety Sensitive Position including a drug test

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee must be able to successfully manage the physical demands of this position which include the following:

Hours of operation may vary based on staffing needs and workload.
Majority of time will be in the field.
The position may work in outside conditions that include inclement weather not limited to heat cold humidity and exposure to dust and asphalt.
Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles moving vehicles and occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites.
Noise levels in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
Position may lift or carry objects up to 50 pounds.
If necessary in the field stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions; employee lifts pushes pulls or carries objects.
