Position Overview
The successful candidate will be part of the Data Operations department whose primary responsibility will be to ensure the effective management of all aspects for inbound/outbound extracts & reports to Clients Vendors and Prime Brokers. The Outbound Portfolio Reporting team owns the management of all aspects of client outbound Portfolio Reporting needs and ongoing support of interfaces including client on-boarding and client relationship management. As a group with representation in Asia Pacific Europe and North America the team provides seamless support to all CFS offices on a global basis.
The candidate will manage a Global team that requires a comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of trade capture data processing and Outbound Portfolio Reporting data points. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage work processes and interact with high profile clients. He/she must have an in-depth understanding of financial instruments. The successful candidate will be responsible for training and development of his/her direct reports locally driving the performance management process hiring etc. He/she will also provide ongoing feedback on the team to IS management and manage the workload of the team in line with senior management expectations and based on functional priorities and objectives.
As a manager you will be responsible for oversight of BAU deliverables of Data Operations and oversee the configuration & monitoring of all incoming and outgoing data to ensure timely receipt and delivery to satisfy Citco client SLAs.
Responsible for ICE Instruct and AExeo Extract and Swift maintenance and support including investigation and management of Extract Instruct and Swift data issues.
Communicate effectively with both internal and external parties to discuss Outbound Portfolio Reporting issues. This includes clients Prime Brokers Counterparties and Banks in addition to internal CFS teams.
Ability to explain technical concepts to users in terms that can be easily understood.
Strong knowledge of databases or experience using SQL Server (T-SQL) and/or Visual Basic is desired.
Serve as first point of escalation for all incident and problem tickets.
Man -Manage team in Canada ensuring goals set through year for individuals and proper feedback provide to team members on performance
Allocation of work ensuring onboardings and proper work is assigned fairly within team
Managing of group mailbox ensuring all requests are assigned and actioned timely
Putting forward suggestions on how to improve metrics and statistics to reflect performance of team
Takes a proactive approach to solving issues displays initiative and good example by contributing ideas for increased efficiencies and/or automation of the various support procedures.
Work closely with development client/vendor and operations teams to schedule releases changes and updates to interfaces and applications.
Configure and maintain Outbound Portfolio Reporting interfaces as per internal and external business instructions including investigation and address post-implementation discrepancies as required.
Assist Management in design and implementation of work-flow processes and improvements.
Identify opportunities for efficiencies risk mitigation standardization and automation and work with managers and teams to translate into actionable projects.
Assist management in the implementation of the performance management framework and the automation and measurement of KPIs.
Assist with the management of P1/P2 calls and ensure that standard procedures are adhered.
Prepare and conduct staff reviews as well as managing staff progression.
Good problem-solving skills. You will be required to research problems reported by operations teams to determine if an actual problem exists or if additional training is required. When actual problem exists they need to recommend a workaround until an actual fix is implemented.
Bachelor or master level degree or equivalent in accounting finance economics business or IT disciplines.
10 Years in financial services with an exposure to Technology operations change and release management mandatory.
Proven track record in leading and developing high-performing operational teams.
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage diverse stakeholder relationships at all levels.
Strong history of thriving in global multicultural environments.
