Reporting to the Manager Biomedical Engineering the Biomedical Technologist will provide services and support on equipment at all Osler sites.
Accountabilities:
- Responsible for repair preventative maintenance monitoring quality and risk management programs consultation installation and in-service education
- Maintain accurate work documentation in the departments CMMS
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- Electronics Engineering Diploma specializing in biomedical engineering from an accredited program
- Minimum of three years recent biomedical engineering experience
- Prior experience working within a hospital setting is preferred
- Thorough knowledge of biomedical engineering electronics engineering current computer trouble-shooting and network knowledge relevant codes and standards
- Knowledge of human anatomy physiology and medical terminology
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent attendance punctuality and work record
- Ability to work in a collaborative manner with a wide variety of clinical and non-clinical personnel
- Prior experience maintaining Philips physiological monitors/telemetry systems is an asset
- Prior experience servicing Welch Allyn integrated vital signs machines is an asset
- Prior experience servicing ventilators is an asset
- Prior experience working within the surgical suite is an asset
- Must have own vehicle to travel to all Osler sites
- Must demonstrate Oslers Values of Respect Excellence Service Compassion Innovation and Collaboration
- The applicant must be able to meet the physical demands of this position (must be able to lift at least 25 kg)

Hours: Currently days evenings and nights including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)
Fully Onsite: Roles involved in direct patient care that are needed onsite for each shift.
Salary:
Minimum: $36.85 per hour
Maximum: $50.27 per hour
