Job Summary
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Four (4) years of experience in plumbing.
- Valid Florida drivers license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Journeyman Plumber license.
- National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) certification.
Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy minimum qualifications.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Clear and concise oral and written communication skills; organizational and management skills.
- Knowledge of pertinent regulations policies and procedures for the functional area of assignment.
- Knowledge of HIPAA Public Records Sunshine Law FERPA and other laws/regulations related to student and employee privacy public information and records retention.
- Knowledge of and experience with industry-standard equipment materials practices computers and applications.
- Ability to professionally and effectively respond to customer needs and requests for service or assistance.

Responsibilities
- Install alter maintain and repair plumbing and heating systems and fixtures.
- Make necessary drawings or sketches for repair work.
- Maintain/order all supplies/materials and generate purchase requisitions.
- Size pipe solder vent and repair plumbing systems.
- Assess and repair non-potable pumping systems.
- Purge and service vacuum systems and pumps.
- Report asbestos when discovered.
- Repair and replace fire hydrants on District property.
- Comply with applicable safety regulations and procedures.
