Job Description:

The Senior QA Engineer plays a key role in ensuring product quality across web and mobile applications. This position involves designing and executing comprehensive test plans developing and maintaining automation frameworks and collaborating closely with development and product teams to deliver reliable high-performing software. Strong expertise in both manual and automated testing is essential to drive continuous improvement in quality and testing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design develop and execute manual and automated test cases for web mobile and backend services.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium Cypress Appium Playwright or Postman.
• Perform functional regression integration performance and API testing.
• Identify document and track defects using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Participate in requirements reviews and design discussions to provide QA input early in the development lifecycle.
• Work closely with developers to reproduce and debug issues.
• Implement continuous testing practices integrated with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions Jenkins GitLab CI/CD).
• Ensure testing coverage maintain test documentation and contribute to quality standards and best practices.
• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers when needed.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science Software Engineering or related field.
• 4 years of hands-on QA experience including both manual and automated testing.
• Strong experience with test automation tools (Selenium Cypress Appium or similar).
• Experience testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman or Rest Assured.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies tools and processes.
• Excellent understanding of Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in performance testing (JMeter K6 or similar).
• Experience with cloud-based environments (AWS GCP or Azure) is a plus.
• Knowledge of SQL and experience validating data in databases.
• Experience testing mobile applications (Android/iOS).
• ISTQB or other QA-related certifications.
