Job Summary

Qualifications:

Heres what youll need

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • At least 7 years of practical application of mechanical facilities engineering including HVAC hydronics process piping exhaust plumbing and related mechanical facilities systems
  • At least 5 years of design project delivery processes experience
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams including multi-disciplinary teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills ability to prioritize and leadership experience

Ideally you will also have:

  • At least 2 years of experience working with complex semiconductor manufacturing tools either their manufacture installation or use in cleanrooms
  • Proficient working knowledge of AutoCAD software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Forward-thinking eager to learn best practices and contribute with innovative ideas
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
  • Passion for buildings and construction
  • 3 years field experience
  • EIT or PE license

Other Requirements:

Location:

  • This is primarily a remote position. The successful candidate will need to work on-site for 50% of the first month; thereafter it will reduce to one week on-site per quarter.

Physical Requirements:

  • The position requires field visits and walks at an active client site in various stages of construction. The applicant must be able to walk long distances sit and stand for extended periods bend stoop twist crawl climb ladders work on catwalks work in small spaces and lift and carry up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities:

Owner-rep Process Mechanical LEAD

  • As the facilitys mechanical engineering owners representative you will work on projects that enable the heart of our clients manufacturing in Boise ID. You and the other team members will work closely with client owners in a fast-paced dynamic this role you would work on the clients behalf to review designs specs and drawings and provide feedback and comment.
  • Technical engineering responsibilities include editing client specifications and design and oversight for piping and ducting for equipment heating cooling exhaust and process chemicals and gases in some of the most complex densely packed industrial facilities on the planet. The design may include the retrofit of existing building systems to accommodate tool installation including engineering calculations equipment and component sizing selection and specification and support during construction and integration into the factory.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for interfacing with client and site personnel driving design and construction documents through the review process with a team.

Primary duties include the following:

  • You will work on projects that enable the heart of our clients manufacturing. You and the other team members will work closely with client owners in a fast-paced dynamic environment to establish design requirements and produce construction documents for the installation of complex manufacturing tools and facilities infrastructure mechanical systems.
  • Technical engineering responsibilities include design and oversight for piping and ducting for equipment heating cooling exhaust and process chemicals and gases in some of the most complex densely packed industrial facilities on the planet. The design may include the retrofit of existing building systems including engineering calculations equipment and component sizing selection and specification and support during construction and integration into the factory.
  • As the mechanical representative on a multi-discipline design team your primary duty will be to review design packages consisting of P&IDs layout drawings details and equipment plans followed by review of submittals RFIs and construction documents.

Comments/Special Instructions

This role is intended to be contract to hire. This role is hybrid where candidates must be able to work on-site the first couple of weeks and afterwards travel to Boise once per quarter (travel flight boarding etc. costs covered). Prefer candidates as close to Idaho as possible but can sit anywhere in the US.
