Job summary
Were looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to accurately enter update and maintain business records and databases. Youll help keep our information clean accessible and secure so teams can make fast confident decisions. This role is open to candidates located in the United States who are authorized to work in the U.S.
Key responsibilities
- Accurately enter and update data in company databases CRMs spreadsheets and internal systems
- Verify data for completeness and correctness; identify and resolve discrepancies
- Scan label and organize digital and physical documents as required
- Maintain data integrity by following established entry standards naming conventions and version control
- Reconcile records and run periodic audits to ensure accuracy
- Prepare basic reports and summaries from entered data
- Assist other departments with data requests and ad-hoc pulls
- Follow data protection and confidentiality policies; participate in secure data handling practices
- Meet productivity and accuracy targets while communicating any blockers or system issues
Skills
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Typing speed of 50 WPM (preferred) with high accuracy
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel (formulas filters basic pivot tables) and Google Sheets
- Comfortable using CRMs database platforms or data-entry portals
- Good organizational and time-management skills; able to prioritize tasks
- Basic troubleshooting for common data/system issues
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Reliability discretion and professionalism handling sensitive information
Education and experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or some college preferred
- 12 years of data entry clerical or administrative experience (or equivalent)
- Experience with industry-specific software is a plus (e.g. Salesforce QuickBooks ERP systems)
- Background checks may be required depending on role and data sensitivity
Annual pay
- Pay range: $33000 and $49000 per year (full-time) depending on experience location and role complexity
- Hourly equivalent: approximately $17 and $28/hour for hourly positions
- Note: Exact compensation will be determined based on qualifications and local market rates.
