Role Overview

A reputed export-oriented engineering group with a precision machine shop in Bhilai is seeking skilled CNC Operators to run and maintain large CNC machines used for high-tolerance OEM components including Railway Bogie Frames for global clients. The role demands strong documentation discipline programming knowledge and quality adherence.

Eligibility / Qualification

• B.E. / / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• ITI or certified CNC course holders also eligible
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on CNC machine operation experience
• Familiarity with Siemens / Fanuc controllers
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Skilled in using precision instruments:
  • Vernier Caliper Micrometer Depth Gauge
  • Digital Height Gauge Plug Gauge Ring Gauge
  • Thread Plug Gauge Dial Test Indicator Bore Dial Gauge
• Understanding of machining tolerances surface finish and geometric accuracy
• Exposure to CAD/CAM G-code programming and numeric control modes
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts
• Strong discipline and shop floor coordination skills

Responsibilities

• Operate large CNC machines (VMC HBM VTL Plano Miller) for OEM item production
• Load and set up tools fixtures and programs as per job requirements
• Monitor machining operations and make adjustments for accuracy
• Perform in-process checks using precision instruments
• Program and edit CNC code (G-code) as per drawing and job specs
• Maintain machine cleanliness and basic preventive maintenance
• Record production data dimensional reports and shift performance
• Follow safety protocols and contribute to continuous improvement
• Collaborate with QA and documentation teams for process traceability
