Job Summary

We are working closely alongside with a local authority in Haringey to assist with the appointment of a ASB Officer on a 2.5-months contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 26.04- 34.39 per hour

Summary:

The ASB Officer works alongside Neighbourhood Officers to focus on quickly and accurately resolving Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) cases. The primary goal is to support residents particularly vulnerable individuals to ensure they feel safe in their homes and with their neighbours. The role involves developing strong partnerships to prevent ASB establishing a mediation service and acting as the lead officer for neighbour disputes. This position requires the expertise to manage complex cases and ensure robust processes are in place across Tenancy Management and Estates & Neighbourhoods.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of more complex issues and work with other services to bring them to a resolution.
  • Act as a source of expertise on law policy and best practice regarding intervention tools to resolve ASB including mediation services providing advice and support to colleagues
  • Provide prompt courteous and accurate advice when dealing with queries from service users their representatives or outside agencies.
  • Liaise with Resident Associations Leaseholder groups and Advocates on matters relevant to ASB which may include attending meetings outside normal working hours
  • Maintain proper file systems and promptly upload documents to enable easy access to relevant information for other teams

Essentials:

  • Educated to degree level or an equivalent level of experience of housing services
  • In-depth knowledge of public sector ASB issues and law
  • Expert knowledge of managing ASB complaints issues including investigation and enforcement action
  • Previous experience in a customer service environment and a demonstrable commitment to delivering excellent customer service
  • Experience of managing a varied portfolio of properties
  • Full UK driving license

  • This role requires a Basic DBS
