Job Role & Key Responsibilities:
Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) responsible for carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance on production plant and process equipment at a leading food manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct planned and reactive electrical maintenance on production and plant equipment.
- Diagnose repair and maintain single- and three-phase systems.
- Perform electrical testing inspections and PLC/process control troubleshooting.
- Maintain calibrate and verify sensors instrumentation and control panels.
- Carry out mechanical maintenance on conveyors drives mixers milling and packing machinery.
- Replace bearings chains belts and mechanical components.
- Perform fault finding root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure safe efficient maintenance.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Time-served engineer with electrical bias (HNC/ONC or equivalent).
- 18th Edition IEE Regulations qualification (essential).
- PLC/process control experience.
- Health & Safety certification (IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent).
- Experience in food or FMCG manufacturing.
- CMMS experience for planned maintenance.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable Skills:
- Strong IT literacy (Microsoft Office).
- Experience with automated packaging milling and blending equipment.
- Knowledge of process control instrumentation and compressors motors and drives.
