Job Summary

The Operations Center Administrator provides leadership and direction to the Facilities Operations Center including Work Management Building Access (keys and access control) and the welcome desk. Ensures job tasks are completed correctly and in a timely manner and provides guidance regarding University and department policies and procedures. Further responsibility includes staff conduct timecards attendance cards leave usage training and performance evaluations. Serves as point of contact for inquiries from customers vendors visitors and employees on behalf of Facilities Services. Supports department and campus with general Facilities knowledge and resources including in emergency situations.

$52000 - $63000 annual

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelors (or higher degree) in business administration management or related closely related field (verify with transcript).
2. At least five (5) years of full time (or part time equivalent) professional business experience that included at least three (3) years of direct supervisory or management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Knowledge of management principles practices methods and techniques.
2. Project management experience or knowledge
3. Facilities-related experience or knowledge

Work Hours

Core work hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Functional Expectations

Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
1. Effectively communicate on a daily basis.
2. Remain at a workstation for extended periods.
3. Distinguish colors on a monitor.
4. Move about in various locations across campus as needed to complete day-to-day work.

The Civil Service examination for this classification is based on your application materials and responses to the supplemental questions. No participation other than submission of applicant materials is required from applicants that qualify to take the exam. If you meet the minimum required qualifications for this position you will receive a score calculated based on your education and experience and your name will be placed on the active employment register by exam score. After the application deadline the names within the top three scores will be referred to the department for interview. The active register for this classification will be voided when the position is filled.
