Our postgraduate education pathways (Remote Health Practice program) provides workforce development through Indigenous health and clinical skills training and we have a community driven research program led by researchers committed to improving health outcomes. We work alongside Poche SANT focussing on Indigenous leadership capacity development and developing the Indigenous health workforce. All activities are driven by our values which focus on the long-term and short-term needs of the NT community.
About the Role
The Project Support Officer provides high-quality administrative and operational support to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Advancement Program. This role involves coordinating travel and events supporting governance meetings and assisting with community engagement activities in a culturally sensitive manner.
Provide executive support to the Matthew Flinders Professor including calendar and correspondence management.
Deliver efficient administrative support for meetings travel and events.
Assist with governance group secretariat duties and reporting requirements.
Coordinate community engagement activities and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
About You
You are a highly organised professional with strong administrative skills and experience working in culturally safe ways with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. You excel at building relationships managing multiple priorities and delivering accurate confidential support in a dynamic environment. You thrive in team settings adapt well to changing circumstances and are eager to learn and grow your skillset to support evolving needs.
Diploma or Certificate in business (or equivalent experience) with strong admin and organisational skills.
Proven ability to work effectively and respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain collaborative partnerships.
Proficiency in MS Office and ability to quickly learn new systems with attention to detail and confidentiality requirements.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team adapt to new challenges and embrace opportunities for professional development.
