Position description:
Serves as a resource and role model for assigned Restorative Nurse Aides (RNA) which includes personnel and operations management (e.g. contributes data for monthly operation report). Responsible for planning implementing and evaluating the restorative nursing care for a caseload of residents. Coordinates and supervises the restorative nursing care delivered by the RNAs under his/her supervision. Assists in managing the Minimum Data Set (MDS) process as assigned by the MDS Facility Coordinator. Reports to the MDS Facility Coordinator and keeps him/her informed of resident/family/ personnel issues. Adheres to the Ohio Board of Nursing Standards of Practice.
This is a full time Monday- Friday Position with hours of 7:00am-3:30pm 32 hours per week
Compensation is based on experience and licensure ranging from $27-29/ hour
Duties:
Coordinates and completes the initial Restorative Nursing Assessments on residents according to Care Plan schedule.
Coordinates and completes quarterly assessments on all residents on a restorative program.
Communicates pertinent information on resident status to the RNA assigned to resident.
Coordinates and completes assessments on all referrals.
Coordinates the delivery of restorative services to all residents on restorative program.
Provides instruction on proper documentation for RNAs.
Participates in Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement activities related to resident care (e.g. audits Action Team participation etc.).
Maintains a safe environment for residents.
Adhere to all policies and procedures of the organization and all federal and state laws regarding the privacy of protected health information.
Adhere to all policies and procedures of the organization regarding the use of technology and technology-based information.
Completes MDS assignments as determined by the MDS Facility Coordinator.
Responsible for welcoming andonboarding new employees.
- Performs other duties as directed.
Qualifications:
- License Practical Nurse from accredited school of nursing.
- Long term care experience preferred.
- MDS Experience Preferred.
