We are seeking a Lead Developer / Team Lead - Senior Java Developer to join ActiVia Networks Canada Inc. a STRATACACHE company based in Montreal.

Looking for something real
Our team builds and maintains the digital menu management tool used by major quick-service restaurant chains.
Our goal: every restaurant screen shows the right content at the right time and never goes black.

Youll join a small tight-knit team (56 people) where we code collaborate and solve real challenges.
As a technical lead who still loves to code (around 70% dev 30% leadership) youll guide the team shape our architecture and help keep things running smoothly for thousands of locations.

What you will do

• Lead and support your team of backend frontend and QA developers
• Design build and improve our Java/Spring platform and contract-first APIs
• Take part in architecture discussions and code reviews
• Ensure reliability and data validation no dark screens allowed
• Work closely with Product QA and Operations
• Share knowledge documentation and good practices across the team

What were looking for

7 years of backend Java experience including 2 years in a lead or senior technical role
Strong skills in Java Spring Spring Boot and SQL (PostgreSQL TimescaleDB)
Familiar with Elasticsearch and Docker
Natural leadership autonomy and ownership of the product
Bilingual (French/English) youll collaborate with Operations too
