The Motorola Solutions Device Management team specializes in the fulfillment of world class software applications for managing fleets of end user two-way communications devices for public safety.
Job Description
This position is for a Software Engineering internship opportunity at Motorola Solutions in Plantation Florida. The candidate will be responsible for developing and testing enterprise level Windows based applications.
These are applications written in C#/.NET4.6 on both the client & server side with WPF WCF frameworks with the addition of Java and SQL DB operations and a roadmap directing it towards cloud & WEB services.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Work in an Agile/Scrum team that analyzes develops designs maintains and tests software for the organizations products and systems.
Teamwork in a multi-site world-wide development environment
Finding tracking and repairing device software defects
Performs system integration of software and hardware to maintain throughput and program consistency.
Preferred Skills:
Familiar with C#/.NET on Windows platforms/C/Java
Experience in the following is a plus:
Database: SQL
UI: WPF
Data model: Entity Framework
System Communications: WCF REST OpenSSL
Dev Environment: Visual Studio 2017 or greater
Code Source Repository: Git (BitBucket)
Work Tracking: Jira (Atlassian)
Documentation: Excel Confluence (Atlassian)
Strong communication and problem solving skills.
Basic Requirements
Candidates Graduation date must occur on or after December 2026.
Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in one of the following degree programs: Computer Science Software Engineering or Computer Engineering.
Must be a US Citizen permanent resident or be an MS student with work authorization (F1 Visa on CPT accepted only for masters-level students).
