We are urgently seeking a CNS-Breast Care for a hospital in Dublin Ireland.
Responsibities
Provide specialist knowledge expertise and holistic care to breast care patients throughout diagnosis treatment and recovery.
Offer emotional psychological and practical support to patients and families addressing the psychosocial impact of breast cancer.
Assess plan implement and evaluate patient care to ensure optimal outcomes and continuity across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Deliver pre- and post-operative counselling prosthesis fitting and guidance on treatment options including surgery chemotherapy radiotherapy and endocrine therapy.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and act as a patient advocate to ensure coordinated high-quality care.
Manage own caseload independently ensuring adherence to hospital policies protocols and HIQA/national standards.
Lead and support education for patients families and staff developing and maintaining appropriate educational materials.
Participate in clinical audits research and service development to maintain evidence-based high-quality practice.
Promote continuous professional development and maintain specialist knowledge in breast care nursing.
Uphold governance ethical standards and hospital policies contributing to service planning safety and quality improvement.
Requirements
Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience including at least 2 years in a specialist area.
Hold a Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNS); Higher Diploma in Oncology Nursing (Breast Care) preferred.
Strong communication time management and organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and independently manage own caseload.
Capable of working under pressure and demonstrating leadership in initiating and managing change.
Proficient IT and computer skills.
Demonstrated interest in breast care services and contributing to future service development.
Flexible approach to working hours.
Management development experience in medical oncology or breast surgery and training in teaching assessing or research are desirable.
