The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience with At least one of the following API certifications required: API 510 API 570 and/or API 653.
Manufacturing/production Industry experience required
We are partnering with a leading industrial organization in the Richmond VA area.
Were seeking an experienced Fixed Equipment Inspector with strong API credentials and hands-on experience performing authorized inspections and NDE testing. The ideal professional will have a solid understanding of pressure vessels process piping and storage tanks within a regulated environment.
This position plays a key role in ensuring the safe reliable and compliant operation of plant equipment through inspection testing and regulatory oversight.
Perform and authorize inspections in accordance with API ASME and National Board standards
Assess the condition of fixed equipment and develop recommendations for repair or alteration
Direct and mentor junior inspectors and technicians
Prepare and maintain detailed inspection documentation and reports
Coordinate and oversee third-party inspection resources
Support QA/QC initiatives for repairs alterations and new fabrications
Maintain Owner/User Inspection Certificate accreditation and ensure compliance with jurisdictional regulations
Participate in safety PSM and regulatory audits
Contribute to failure analysis investigations and vendor audits as needed
Requirements
API 510 570 or 653 certification (at least one required)
National Board Inservice Inspection Commission with R endorsement preferred
UTT Level II and PT Level II certifications preferred
AWS CWI preferred
35 years of relevant industry experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with Meridium inspection modules (or similar systems) preferred
Additional Requirements
Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
Must pass Jaeger Visual Acuity test and respirator fit testing
Valid drivers license required
