Overview:
Signalink a rapidly growing small company is currently seeking aSystems Engineer tojoin the team as an integral member of agroupof government military and contractor personnel that provide program engineering and technical supporton a wide variety of projects.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Apply well-developed systems engineering skills and methodology throughout the life cycle of avionics system development and assist our customers in achieving program objectives.
- Apply engineering methods to the definition design analysis and reporting of military systems including rotorcraft Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS) missiles and antennas.
- Develop manage and support the substantiation and verification of all program requirements and objectives.
- Perform and report independent analyses to include physical performance and operational characteristics to ensure the system or systems-of-systems satisfy airworthiness objectives. Review analysis results from other members of the team reconcile discrepancies and organize results for reporting.
- Assist with integration and testing.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from ABET accredited college in Engineering or related discipline with relevant experience.
- 5-10 years of applicable experience in a government or contractor setting.
- Experience developing engineering analyses and reports.
- Must currently hold or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance at the secret level.
- Ability to travel 10% of the time.
Preferred Experience and Knowledge:
- Experience with rotorcraft.
- Experience with safety airworthiness substantiation or requirements traceability documentation.
- Experience with integration testing and simulation primarily of military rotorcraft.
- Familiarity with electrical and mechanical drawings and engineering models.
- Familiarity with Digital Engineering or Model-Based System Engineering
- Familiarity with Army standards and specifications
