The Medical Unit at St. Catherine Hospital specializes in general medical and surgical patient care and is a 48-bed unit. We treat adult patients that are 16 years and older needing medical or surgical intervention with no overflow from other departments. We are a desirable department because we value teamwork and collaboration. Patient safety and experience is a priority as well as employee job satisfaction. In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day qualified candidates will need the following:

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. required

Minimum Experience:

• Two years of recent LPN experience preferred

License/Certification Requirements:

• Licensed Practical Nurse required
• BLS (AHA) required
• IV therapy certification required (State IV Certification upon hire or within three month of hire/transfer)

Physical Requirements -Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally and/or up to 20lbs frequently and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
