The Telemetry Department at Holy Cross Hospital - Davis is a 24-bed unit that services Davis County Utah. We are a fast-paced unit that cares for a large variety of patients. We are a Primary Stroke Center a Certified Chest Pain Center and a Level 3 Trauma Center. We are a close-knit group of health care professionals that have a culture of teamwork and excellent patient care. As part of our team you will need a strong knowledge of pathophysiology critical thinking skills and proficiency in nursing skills. You will work closely with our amazing team of board-certified hospitalists and nursing staff to help provide excellent patient care to those that come to our facility. We are looking for candidates who are hard workers adaptable proactive not afraid to ask questions able to accept criticism team players and able to see the broader picture of patient care. We value our incredible Certified Nursing Assistants and want to ensure they practice at the top of their license to better optimize their skills and experience. Weve also developed a career path framework for CNAs that clarifies paths to move develop and advance CNA careers into nursing and other roles. The Certified Nursing Assistants provides direct and indirect nursing care under the direction of a RN and in accordance with policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day qualified candidates will need the following:
- Six months previous CNA experience preferred
- Ability to read write speak and understand English
- Basic computer skills
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- High School diploma or GED required
- Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program required
- State registered CNA license required
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Training preferred. CPI training required if sitting with M-1 holds
Physical Requirements -Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally and/or up to 20lbs frequently and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
