Duties and Responsibilities:
1. **Develops and implements in collaboration with the CTAHR Dean Associate Dean Department Chairs CTAHR Faculty and Academic & Student Affairs Office college-wide strategic plan for recruiting students.
2. **Builds networks leads and maintains a positive working relationship between CTAHRs nine undergraduate academic educational outreach programs prospective students statewide educators (public and private) 6-12 counselors and UH system
3. **Develops manages and implements a student-centric speaker series that will address topics of interest and provide expertise to current and potential students.
4. **Collaborates with the CTAHR Dean Associate Dean Department Chairs and CTAHR Faculty on designing and generating recruitment materials. Assists in the creation of electronic social and printed media for the colleges academic programs.
5. **Oversees manages and processes CTAHRs scholarship programs which include scholarships awarded through Academic & Student Affairs and departmental scholarships.
6. **Designs organizes and implements projects to collect analyze and interpret assessment data working with or as assigned by the Associate Dean for Academic & Student Affairs.
7. **Develops work plans and timetables for project management related to all fiscal-related activities in the Academic and Student Affairs Office.
8. **Develops monitors and makes timely recommendations to the Associate Dean to improve fiscal related tasks and schedules. This includes operational task workflow milestones and meeting deadlines.
9. **Serves as the functional lead on projects with a broad range of responsibilities related to all fiscal activities in the Academic and Student Affairs Office including review and approval of all financial documents.
10. **Provides support for all phases of student services which includes: pre-admissions registration records requirements awards recruitment retention activities advising counseling orientation scholarships academic action and graduation.
11. **Assists CTAHR Dean Associate Deans and Administration with reviewing revising executing and/or renewing CTAHR affiliation agreements for its academic programs.
12. **Serves as the primary point of contact for CTAHR stakeholders engaged in CTAHRs academic program review by coordinating all activities and meetings with CTAHR faculty staff students and stakeholders.
13. **Serves as the primary point of contact for CTAHR Administrators and faculty engaged in academic program approval and review by writing reviewing revising and/or executing new program proposals.
14. **Designs organizes and implements methods for collecting preparing and analyzing CTAHRs academic program data for CTAHRs academic program reviews and accreditation that contribute to institutional strategic planning.
15. **Serves as the functional lead on college-wide initiatives to ensure that CTAHR academic program curriculum is aligned with current national trends and university strategic goals.
16. Supervises the graduate assistant position casual hire position and student assistants.
17. Job duties may change based on the needs of the ASAO office. Meetings and events may occur after normal working hours and/or on weekends at off-site locations.
18. Develop a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for implementing scholarships and stewardship plans to strengthen relationships with donors and program stakeholders in CTAHR.
19. Administers special projects including but not limited to CTAHR Grow with Us Mentoring Program. Conducts studies creates project plans analyzes and creates reports advises departments and ensures regulatory compliance for special projects.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Possession of a baccalaureate degree in science education or related field and 5 year(s) of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for working with multiple levels of P-20 educators and with responsibilities for a large program management including fiscal grant writing and higher education administration; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education knowledge skills and abilities as indicated.
2. Considerable working knowledge of principles practices and techniques in the field of building of educational programs as demonstrated as demonstrated by the broad knowledge of the full range of pertinent standard and evolving concepts principles and methodologies.
3. Considerable working knowledge and understanding of applicable federal and state laws rules regulations and theories and systems associated with research education and higher education administration and working with minors.
4. Demonstrated ability to resolve wide ranging complex problems through the use of creative reasoning and logic to accurately determine the cause of the problems and the resolution of the problems in an effective innovative and timely manner.
5. Demonstrated ability to interpret and present information and ideas clearly and accurately in writing verbally and by preparation of reports and other materials.
6. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations groups team leaders and members and individuals.
7. Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer apply word processing software.
8. If applicable for supervisory work demonstrated ability to lead subordinates manage work priorities and projects and manage employee relations
9. Ability to travel independently to various geographical locations in a timely manner. Requirement may be fulfilled by a valid Hawaii drivers license (Class 3) comparable drivers license or other means of transportation that meet position needs.
10. Considerable working knowledge and understanding of applicable State of Hawaii laws rules regulations and theories and systems associated with research education and higher education administration and working with minors.
Desirable Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of CTAHR programs working knowledge of the UH UH Foundation and RCUH policies and procedures.
2. Working knowledge of the UH systems (Kuali MyGrant etc.).
3. Working knowledge of the RCUH system (RCUH fiscal web system HRAMP etc.). Working knowledge of the system-wide STAR and BANNER.
4. Experience working in higher education and managing a department in a research setting.
5. Proficiency in a language of one or more populations that the position serves.
