As a Senior Design Engineer you will be responsible for performing design work contributing to projects and serving as a technical contributor on cross-functional teams. You will play an integral role in advancing projects through all phases of the design and development process from concept to market launch leveraging your engineering expertise problem-solving skills and collaboration to bring innovative Sports Medicine products to life

You will need to live within commuting distance to our Denver Colorado office. You will work in a hybrid model for this role
What you will do
- Design develop modify and verify mechanical components and sub-systems for medical devices under minimal supervision.
- Translate user and clinical needs into engineering specifications producing sub-system and component-level designs that are manufacturable reliable and cost-efficient.
- Develop and analyze solutions through prototyping testing and verification to demonstrate proof of concept and ensure design robustness.
- Apply advanced problem-solving skills to resolve complex product design issues and make data-driven design tradeoffs with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D Quality Manufacturing Regulatory Clinical and Marketing to advance projects through the full development lifecycle.
- Create and refine engineering documentation including Design History Files design documents and reports in alignment with design controls and risk management per the Quality Management System.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of product use clinical procedures and customer needs to inform design inputs and enhance patient outcomes.
- Uphold compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements while delivering high-quality results with ownership energy and accountability.
What you need
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering Mechanical Engineering BioMedical or related discipline.
- 2 years of work experience in mechanical engineering.
- Working knowledge and understanding of mechanical engineering practices and design principles.
- Knowledge of design and concept generation CAD tools(SolidWorks preferred)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience/Knowledge working with Polymers or injection Molding preferred.
- Knowledge of analysis tools (i.e. DFMECA Fault Tree Analysis FEA Stack-ups etc.) and statistical methods (i.e. leveraging Minitab for ANOVA normality testing confidence calculations etc.) & ANSYS
- Technical ability to create engineering drawings and models applying GD&T and CAE tools.
- Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes to product design.
$77200 - $160800 salary plus bonus eligible benefits. Individual pay is based on skills experience and other relevant factors.
Travel Percentage: 10%
