As Chief Financial Officer at Kinsley Steel Inc. you will be a key member of the Executive team at the forefront of our high-performance customer-focused team utilizing your forward-thinking skills to deliver exceptional results.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership:
- Develop and maintain a strategy for the finance function that supports the broader company strategy and is aligned to achieve future goals.
- Direct accounting policies procedures and internal controls including their implementation and demonstrated efficiency and effectiveness.
- Advise the CEO and Executive team on financial topics.
Financial Reporting:
- Direct the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements including balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements.
- Establish and report key performance indicators that assist executive and senior leadership teams to manage business performance using both leading and lagging indicators. Direct the reporting on KPIs on a regular cadence.
- Direct the development of all forecasts projections and budgets ensuring feedback from stakeholders inside the business informs these figures. Effectively communicate completed forecasts projections and budgets to all internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant accounting standards.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
- Manage and continuously improve internal control environment and business procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Oversee the successful completion of all external audits and regulatory compliance audits.
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and coordinate with external tax advisors.
Treasury Management:
- Manage cash flow and cash flow forecasting to support the companys strategic goals while maintaining financial stability.
- Manage and maintain relationships with financial institutions.
- Identify and manage business risks and insurance requirements.
- Manage and maintain relationships with both p&c insurance and surety brokers.
Finance Operations:
- Ensure effective management of the day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable accounts receivable and payroll functions.
- Review and approve journal entries account reconciliations and other financial transactions.
Talent Management:
- Hire train and develop Finance and Accounting talent to develop a high-performance culture and maintain an effective organization design.
- Provide performance management feedback for direct reports. Ensure responsibilities and goals are established for entire reporting line and both positive and constructive feedback is effectively communicated.
- Ensure proper training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
System and Process Improvement:
- Continuously assess and improve financial systems and processing to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field; CPA designation is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in financial management and accounting in a manufacturing or construction business with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of GAAP financial principles and accounting best practices.
- Proven experience in financial analysis forecasting and budgeting.
- Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in financial software and tools.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
