Job Summary

Vanguard is hiring a Procurement Sourcing & Contracting Manager to lead a team in managing third-party procurement and sourcing operations. This role plays a critical part in driving operational efficiency guiding strategic sourcing efforts and ensuring strong vendor partnerships that align with Vanguards mission and business goals.

Responsibilities

Hires evaluates and supervises crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Sets performance standards reviews performance and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
Oversees and manages all sourcing engagements with third party vendors up to $2 million dollars in spend to ensure consistent procurement of products and services at the best execution at the best price.
Reviews and prioritizes all sourcing events including RFx events up to $2 million and determines appropriate sourcing path.
Defines communicates and implements a framework that supports effective and efficient execution of procurement policies/procedures and manages operational efficiency of department.
Supports departmental process and technology initiatives. Partners with Category Managers to understand priorities and strategies. Trains to support these findings.
Maintains an in-depth understanding of internal and industry knowledge by keeping current on industry and regulatory events.
Maintains strong relationships with key senior stakeholders to ensure the best client experience.
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum of five years related work experience with at least three years procurement experience. Supervisory experience preferred.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Accounting or Finance degree preferred.
Deep understanding of procurement sourcing and contracting processes
Consistent track record as a strong and effective people leader
Comfortable navigating and leading tough conversations with senior leadership
