Job Skills / Requirements
Guardteck Security is seeking highly talented and motivated individuals to join our team at a Shopping Centre located in Langley! We are looking for professionals who take pride in providing exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe and secure environment for tenants guests and staff.
What We Are Looking For:
- Valid Security License (BST)
- OFA Level 1 certification (required)
- AST or Use of Force certification (considered an asset)
- Minimum 1 year of security experience (required)
- Previous customer service experience (required)
- Professional and positive attitude
- Adaptability to work in a cohesive team environment
- Loss Prevention or Retail Security experience (an asset)
- Flexible availability including weekends and overnights
Responsibilities / Duties Include:
- Conduct regular patrols to ensure the premises remain secure and free of unauthorized individuals or activities
- Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout the property
- Operate and monitor the surveillance system to identify and respond to suspicious activities
- Demonstrate strong observation situational awareness and communication skills
- Provide directions and assistance to guests in a professional and courteous manner
- Create accurate high-quality and detailed incident and daily activity reports
- Assist centre tenants with suspicious individuals or safety-related concerns
- Assist store Loss Prevention Officers in handling escalated situations
- Respond to emergency situations medical incidents and fire alarms in a calm and controlled manner
- Escalate high-risk incidents to the Security Supervisor as required
- Enforce parking regulations and assist with access control for third-party contractors
- Demonstrate confident verbal de-escalation skills
- Act in accordance with the organizations policies procedures and client expectations
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of daily activities incidents and responses
Wage: $20.50- $21.50
Certification Requirements (All)
British Columbia Security License
This is a Part-Time position
