As a CoStar Software Engineer on the Data Automation team you will play a key role in expanding the data platform that supports all of CoStar Groups largest brands including CoStar Suite LoopNet and . You will deeply understand what drives the business for which you are building software. We firmly believe that what separates a good developer from a great one is a deep understanding of the business that they are supporting.
This position is located in our Richmond VA office and offers a schedule of Monday-Thursday in office and Friday work from home.
Responsibilities
Build big distributed API-driven systems for tens of thousands of users
Produce bullet-proof code that is robust efficient and maintainable; our primary tools are C# .NET Framework AWS (Dynamo/S3/Lambda) SQL Server
Drive and lead software design development standards code reviews.
Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities trends and best practices that can be leveraged to strength CoStars technology platform and develop practices.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree required from an accredited not for profit university or college
3 years of experience in C# .NET Framework
3 years of experience in MS SQL Server OR Database Design in T-SQL programming/performance tuning
Experience in architecting designing and building large-scale distributed services-oriented systems and web applications in an agile environment
Data modeling experience
A track record of commitment to previous employers
Preferred Qualifications
3 years of experience in JavaScript React C# Core
Experience with RESTful web services
Familiarity with Postman Swagger and API testing best practices
Advanced SQL Querying
Power BI for advanced reporting and dashboards
Strong communication skills (to both business and technical partners)
Data modeling experience from conceptual logical and physical designs
Databricks for data engineering workflows
Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
