About the role Mō te tūranga mahi

As the Senior Governance Advisor you will be at the heart of ACCs governance function ensuring our Board Committees and Executive Team receive the highest standard of advisory and secretariat support. This role is all about enabling strong transparent decision making through robust governance systems processes and frameworks.

Youll work closely with the Governance Lead and Governance Advisor to deliver seamless engagement between ACC teams the Board and Executive leadership. From maintaining the Committees and Groups governance policy and electronic board books to planning agendas and recording accurate minutes youll help create a governance environment that is sustainable compliant and future-focused.

This is a 12 month fixed term opportunity located in Wellington.

About youMōu

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Law Commerce or similar) and/or strong governance experience
  • Experience supporting Boards in large public sector/Crown Entity or corporate secretarial roles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical project and process management abilities
  • Strong knowledge of corporate governance
  • Professional objective and collegial approach to legal governance and regulatory matters
  • Flexible resilient and adaptable to varied tasks
  • Proven judgement in complex or crisis situations
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship-building and networking skills
  • Ability to articulate issues seek support and deliver solutions collaboratively

The appointing salary for this role will sit between $101287 and $131077 and we offer an additional 9% superannuation contribution.
