The Opportunity
Our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility is looking for a Marine Logistics Officer in our Supply Chain team based in Port Kembla NSW. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.
This 15 month fixed term contract opportunity provides integral logistics support for our manufacturing operations by facilitating the movement of our steel product. This will include moving product from production at our sites through to the ports and other destination points by sea. Working with a supportive team you will consistently provide superior customer service and ensure our products are delivered to our customers on time.
What Will You Do
In this dynamic role you will:
- assist with the coordination of the movement scheduling loading and discharging of a range of BlueScope products by sea working with service providers internal customers and relevant key stakeholders
- support the maintenance of schedules and utilising internal and external information systems to coordinate product movement
- ensure customer requirements are being met through engagement with marine service providers
- support a dynamic marine logistics team responsible for a range of freight solutions to facilitate delivery of product to customers domestically and overseas
*This opportunity is available on a 15 month fixed term contract.
