Sovah Health is a regional health care delivery system with 2 hospital campuses Danville and Martinsville. Each facility has a 24/7 Emergency Room Outpatient Imaging Center and over 20 primary and specialty care physician clinics. Our Danville location is also a teaching hospital that trains medical students and physician residents specializing in family and internal medicine.

How youll contribute

A Central Sterile Technician who excels in this role:

• Collects decontaminates stores and distributes all reuseable supplies and patient care equipment in the hospital. Provides inspection decontamination assembly and sterilization of instruments and other patient care equipment in accordance with processing guidelines AAMI AORN TJC and OSHA requirements.

• Processes and documents all sterile supplies and equipment daily using chemical biological and mechanical indcators to verify sterility in accordance with manufacturer instructions and hospital policy.

• Monitors and performs antimicrobial and disinfection solutions testing according to manufacturer instructions.

What were looking for

Applicants should have a High School diploma or equivalent.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.
