WAGE: $28.50-$44.03 Per Hour

SCHEDULE: Monday Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 am-6:00

Your role as a Therapist-PT

As a Part-Time Therapist at Wasatch Behavioral Health you can expect a fulfilling daily routine centered around providing high-quality care to clients. Your day will primarily involve conducting one-on-one therapy sessions where you will utilize evidence-based practices to support individuals in overcoming challenges and achieving their mental health goals. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams you will be expected to contribute to treatment plans and attend regular staff meetings for continuous improvement and communication. Additionally you will engage in ongoing professional development including supervision and training sessions that will enhance your skills and knowledge in the field. Expect to build strong therapeutic relationships with clients while practicing empathy and problem-solving in a relaxed yet professional environment. Your schedule will vary weekly. Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • A. Graduation from a college or university with a masters degree in social work psychology or a related field (LCSW) (CMHC) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or comparable license recognized by the State of Utah which would allow that person to perform individual psychotherapy without supervision.
    • Four (4) years of experience performing above or related duties under supervision approved by the Professional Licensing Division of the Utah State Department of Commerce; OR
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Must be Licensed to perform psychotherapy without supervision by the State of Utah. May be required to complete State of Utah training in Domestic Violence (16 hr.) annually.
    • Thorough knowledge of psychology diagnostic classifications mental health concepts normal and abnormal psychology; evaluation and various forms of psychotherapy; intervention & patient counseling mental health care facility programs and procedures.
    • Addiction & dynamics of abuse; crisis intervention & suicide assessment methods; client grievance procedures.
    • Strong familiarity with Medicaid policies effective supervision practices and human resource management principles is essential for success in this role.

Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing.
