About the Governance department
Governance delivers a range of programs and services including the provision of governance advice and the delivery of governance awareness initiatives administrative support to Councillors management of internal databases and Council records supervising business paper preparation and minute taking undertaking research on best practice governance and supporting Councils internal stakeholders.
About the role
As the Head of Governance you will manage the operations of Councils Governance Print Services and Information Management teams and provide complex advice to the Mayor General Manager and Councillors on a variety of matters.

Salary: The salary for this position ranges from$196312.00 - $227237.00 per annum plus 12% Superannuationand will be negotiated commensurate with the skills qualifications and experience of the preferred applicant.
This position comes with a Motor Vehicle arrangement which will be discussed with the preferred candidate; however it is not a condition of employment.
You will be required to undertake employment checks which may include a Criminal History Check Qualification Check Working with Children Check Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test as relevant to the position for which you have applied. Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council for review in order to progress through the recruitment process.
