Job Summary
Job Summary
- Design & Specification
- Develop and review instrumentation and control system designs drawings and specifications.
- Select appropriate instruments sensors transmitters and control systems for process applications.
- Prepare datasheets material requisitions and technical bid evaluations.
- Project Execution
- Participate in project planning cost estimation and scheduling of instrumentation activities.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (mechanical electrical process etc.) during project execution.
- Support construction and commissioning of instrumentation systems.
- Maintenance & Calibration
- Develop and implement calibration procedures and schedules for field instruments.
- Troubleshoot maintain and repair instrumentation and control systems.
- Ensure all instruments meet required accuracy safety and compliance standards.
- Control Systems
- Support configuration testing and optimization of PLCs DCS and SCADA systems.
- Maintain and update control logic instrument loops and interlocks as per process requirements.
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all instrumentation work complies with industry standards (ISA IEC API etc.).
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with quality and safety procedures.
- Participate in HAZOP SIL and risk assessments.
- Continuous Improvement
- Recommend and implement improvements to instrumentation systems for better reliability and efficiency.
- Stay updated on new technologies and industry best practices.
Qualifications :
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education:
Bachelors degree in Instrumentation Engineering Electrical Engineering Electronics or related field. - Experience:
Typically 310 years of experience in instrumentation design installation or maintenance (depending on job level). - Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of process instrumentation (flow pressure level temperature etc.)
- Experience with PLC DCS SCADA systems and fieldbus communication (HART Modbus Profibus)
- Familiarity with P&IDs loop diagrams and control narratives
- Understanding of hazardous area classifications and intrinsically safe systems
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and safety awareness
